Dallin 2nd Grade/ Ellie 2nd year Preschool

They were both every excited to start school...and little did Isaac know that his brother and sister would leave him home, alone with his boring mom.  ;)

Boating

For Labor Day weekend, Paul took the Dallin and Ellie down to Aunt Jen's in Cedar City.  The trip was packed full of boating so I kept Isaac home because toddler on boat equals a disaster. (And I was already puking...at 3 weeks along. I didn't think I was expecting, but as soon as Paul got home from work I ran to the garbage can and threw up. He was about to leave with the older kids for the weekend, so he insisted that I take a pregnancy test before they left. Positive. I figured I was about 6 weeks along because that's usually when I start getting sick. I found out a few weeks later that I had only been three weeks along. Super fun. So me puking on a boat was also out of the question. ;) )

They had a ton of fun.  Ellie really likes posing, don't you think?

Fall Soccer - Dallin 2nd Grade

Dallin played soccer his first time a year and a half ago in the Spring, six weeks after I had Isaac.  Paul worked nights still, so it was me and the kids in the rain and freezing wind.  I am pretty sure it was traumatic for all of us.  ;)  We waited this time around and signed him up for fall soccer.  It worked out much better.  The weather was great, Isaac was bigger, and Paul was able to make it to all of the games because his work schedule is now during the day.

Dallin had a lot of fun.  He is really good at running around the field. ;)

And who can resist a cute baby?

For the first time since I quit nursing 10 months ago, Isaac has willingly snuggled and fallen asleep in our bed with us.  Sure beats pacing the house with a sick baby in the middle of the night.  It's so peaceful watching him sleep but I want my side of the bed back. :)

I put blogger app on my phone hoping that it would encourage me to at least journal a little more...not so much.  Yesterday evening started off Fall Break.  We picked up a pizza, watched a movie, and made brownies.  I have the best recipe that I go to every time.  It's quick and easy.  Dallin picked the movie on Netflix: Spy Kids 2, a real winner.  ;) He's getting too old and starting to ask questions like, "What does sexy mean?"  Oh, boy!  Paul!!!  He's your child, answer his question please!!!!  He actually asked Paul in the first place.  Phew!  He's a good kid and has been loving second grade.

Today we've been hanging out at home.  Super exciting!  Paul wants to go on a hike when he gets home from work so we might go to the Grotto in Payson canyon.  Ellie will be mad that we're not hiking to the Y.  She's a fun, fiery lass!  She loves getting out and going anywhere.

Tomorrow we are going up to the cabin in Wallsburg to hang out with my family.  Isaac will love all the dirt!  He's such an awesome kid.  In the last couple weeks he's been saying and repeating a ton of words.  I was worried for a bit that he could have speech problems like Dallin did.  But if he keeps progressing at this rate he should be just fine.

Here's to FALL, my favorite season!

Isaac's a good kid.  Not a lot bothers him.  I really like to startle the kids and Paul quite a bit.  Every one hates it except Isaac.  He laughs and laughs when I jump around a corner yelling BOO!  What he hates, though, is my angry chicken noises.  He loves our neighbors chickens and loves it cluck with them.  When I pull out a ba-COCK!!!! he buries his head in my chest and whimpers.  It's so cute and I can't help but repeat myself.  He now cries when I do it and Paul has forbidden me from ever making that noise again.  I still do on occasion.  I was born a pest and will always be a pest.

Tuesdays

I really like Tuesdays.  Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays are days when the whole family has to get up and get ready (read:  Mom has to get everyone ready, including herself. :).  But Tuesdays, I love you.  Only one kid to get up and get off to school.  Then we sit in our jammies and eat cinnamon sugar toast on the couch in front of the TV.  I really like Tuesdays.
