Beach Bums Only

The kids bathroom was a little boring, so we changed it up a bit.
I found the skim board at a consignment shop.  It came complete with wax and sand still on the surface.
Dal's not really using the toilet, he just wanted to be in the picture.
I got the flip-flop hooks at the hob-lob on the cheap.
The "Beach Bums Only" sign I made from broken pallet boards.  I white washed the boards to give it the sun-bleached look.  Love free projects!
Dallin loves it, but Ellie thinks I should have painted "ballets only" on the sign.

Ellie's 1st day of preschool

This cutie pie was BEYOND ready to start school.  All last year, she begged to go to school with Dallin and she begged to do his homework.  Now, she gets upset when it's not a school day.  She loves to be out and doing things!
Miss Heidi and Ellie

Taking her was so different than taking Dallin the first time.  Granted, they are complete opposites and Dallin did not want to go what so ever.  No tears were shed from either end.  She even ran in the second day without so much as a "bye, Mom!"  I will admit, however, that I did shed a few tears a couple days before when she was trying on her new outfit.  My baby girl ("I am NOT A BABY!!!" she insists.) is growing up way too fast!

100 takes at 6 1/2 months

Iz and I had a little photo session a couple weeks ago, and then again today.  I took about a hundred pictures because, one, I have a crappy camera, and two, this little cutie wiggles a lot, especially when he smiles.  I love the end result, but here are a couple cute outtakes.

1st day of 1st grade

First day of school.  Dallin was really excited!  Ellie, as always, went with Paul to take him to school....and had to be in the pictures....which aren't perfect, but I really, really love them and I love these kiddos a TON!

trip to vegas

Paul, Isaac, and I headed to vegas for a few days.  We stayed in a great condo and swam in the lazy river, ate lots of food, slept all night, and ate more food, shopped a little, and ate more food.  We also went to the Atomic Testing Museum.  It was a great time, although we missed our friends that we were supposed to go with.  They had to stay home at the last minute and missed them!

sugar

it just looked too good not to take a picture.

the picture frame

Remember this picture frame?
I "sat on it" for about 5 or 6 months until I figured out the perfect spot for it.
